Green Lake is a lake located in Styria, Austria
near the town of Tragoss, located at the foot of the snow-capped mountains of
Hochschwab.
During the winter the depth of the lake does
not exceed one or two meters and the surrounding area is used as a park and is
considered a location and a preferred destination for pedestrians.
In the spring, the temperature begins to rise,
and then ice and snow begin to melt on the tops of the mountains and extend
down into a basin of land below. This aquarium is swollen to swallow the entire
area including the park-shaped lake!! , did you imagine the scenery?
The reason for the designation of this lake is
the green lake, which is derived from the green color, especially the grasses
and trees. The pure water allows us to see grasses, flowers, garden seats and
foot bridges buried in the lake floor, providing scuba divers with wonderful views!!
.
As the month of July approaches, the lake
begins to recede. By winter, the lake is back to its original size and the park
opens again to the hikers.
During the summer, the maximum depth of the
lake reaches about 12 meters, and the view becomes very impressive as you see.
So far it is very popular among divers who can
observe green lawns in the lake's edge area especially in June when water is at
their highest.
