The giant "Rose of the Corpse"
flower, which blooms only once every 6 years and native to the Indonesian
islands.
Titan arum is a plant species that follows the arctic family and produces a beautiful flower. The view is very large. It is the largest flower in the world, with a length of more than 3 meters (about 10 feet).
However, its smell is very foul, much like the smell of rotten flesh, or animal carcass.
This flower grows in the Sumatra forests and does not resort to what other flowers do, which produce a sweet smell to attract butterflies and bees to fertilize them. The body is chosen to be pollinated by flies and beetles that lay their eggs in rotten meat, so they produce the smell that attracts these insects.
